What and How We Sell

Jeffrey S. Evans & Assoc. actively seeks quality consignments from single items to entire collections and is especially sensitive to the special needs of museums and institutions.

We specialize in:

  • Southern Decorative Arts
  • American & Eurpoean Glass and Lighting
  • 17th to Early 20th Century Ceramics
  • Textiles and Antique Sewing Accoutrements
  • Americana
  • Valuable Antiques and Collectibles of all types

We offer competitive commission rates and welcome the opportunity to include your consignment in an appropriate auction or create a special, single-owner auction for your collection.

Once we've made a preliminary assessment of your items, we will be able to fully discuss the details of your potential consignment and provide a contract for your review.

Monthly catalogued auctions are held at our state-of-the-art auction gallery in Mt. Crawford, Virginia. By registering to bid directly with our auction house, bidders have the option to submit absentee bids and/or participate “live” during the auction via in-house or telephone bidding.

Our auctions are also available online through Jeffrey S. Evans LIVE, LiveAuctioneers and Invaluable thereby allowing people from around the world to participate in our auctions via the Internet. The massive exposure to serious collectors and dealers worldwide is an extremely important factor in achieving strong prices for your consignment.

Nearly all of the consignments we accept are sold at unreserved public auction; however, the auctioneer may determine that special circumstances warrant a reserve (a minimum price that a seller is willing to accept for an item) or a Private Treaty Sale. These options should be discussed during the consignment evaluation phase.
