Chase Lanford

Department Head, American and European Glass (2014 to present)

Chase Lanford

Chase grew up in upstate South Carolina, where he attended Clemson University, following in the footsteps of his mother and grandfather before her. While pursuing his Bachelor’s in English, he began to regularly attend flea markets and antique stores across the upstate, especially Pickens County, and developed his passion for antique lighting.

Quickly this hobby became a profession as Chase began dealing in antique lighting and American Nouveau art glass in 2008. Being interested in these matters, it was only a matter of time until he discovered JSE & Associates and became a regular bidder on auction days.

Chase joined JSE & Associates in September of 2014, where he was appointed as a glass and lighting specialist. Chase was promoted to Department Head in March of 2018 and will be responsible for all the firm’s 18th to 20th century glass.

On January 30, 2015, Chase and his wife Bonny welcomed their first child, “Malcolm Aiden Lanford.” He hopes to one day be able to show his son the amazing things he gets to see every day.
