Live Internet and absentee bidding are available through Invaluable and LiveAuctioneers. All bidders must be approved by Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates prior to bidding. We do not have access to any bids placed through these sites. The platform places bids for you against in-house bidders, other internet bids, and bids executed by the auction house.

Bidder Approval Process

1: Referrals

If you are new to our firm and have limited or no-bid history on Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers, we may request verification of successful past auction transactions. If requested, we can consider: 

Note to New Bidders: Although you may be a repeat buyer through Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers, we have no access to your purchase history; therefore, if you are new to our firm we request proof of previous successful transactions. Many Internet bidders also have eBay accounts and review of the eBay feedback is often the quickest and easiest method to satisfy this requirement.

2: Driver’s License

We require a full name and physical home address for bidder registration in addition to a telephone number where we can reach you if needed. If your identity cannot be verified to our satisfaction we may request that you submit a legible copy of your driver’s license.

3: Email Verification

Registered bidders who do not meet our automatic approval criteria may be asked to email us to verify their email addresses. If requested, the email must be sent to and should include:

  • Your full first AND last name.
  • Your user name (if using Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers).
  • The email that is associated with your bidder account.

Contacting us through the bidding platform’s messaging system does not verify your email address. 

Additional Information for Invaluable and LiveAuctioneers Bidders

If you are approved to bid in our auction, you will receive a notification via email and your approved status will be reflected in your bidder account. Check your email (and SPAM folder) in case we have requested additional information.

We will continue to monitor and review all incoming registrations and emails as long as the auction is still in progress; however, if you register after 5:00 pm ET the day before the sale, it is possible that your registration may still be in a pended status after the auction has started. (There is sometimes a delay between when you submit your registration and when we receive it.)

Declined Registrations: 

Bidder approval is at the sole discretion of the auction house and each firm has its own criteria for bidder approval. While some approve all registered bidders, we conduct a more thorough review of potential bidders before we approve or decline and we may request additional information from the bidder before making a decision. We may decline registrations if the account history shows multiple late payments and/or at least one incomplete purchase transaction.

You may request an explanation of the rejection and/or submit an appeal for reconsideration.

Appeals must be submitted via EMAIL to (If you telephone, fax, or contact us through the Auction Flex, Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers messaging system to provide appeal information, you will be instructed to resubmit via email.)

Upon receipt of an appeal from a declined bidder we may request an explanation from the auction house in question. Our decision will be sent via email (from, not through the Invaluable or LiveAuctioneers messaging system.

We allow 3 business days for the auction house staff to reply to our inquiry, therefore the appeal review process may not be completed in time for you to participate in our current auction. An overturned rejection will allow you to participate in future auctions as long as no new open disputes, late payments or incomplete transactions are associated with the bidder account.

Referral from another Auction House (USA only)

We will need the auction house’s name and location (city and state) and the date of the auction if known. If time permits, we will contact the auction house(s) on your behalf. 

If your registration request is submitted less than 24 hours before our auction begins, we may not have sufficient time to facilitate this process. We will NOT contact other auction houses on your behalf after 4:00 pm ET the day before the auction.
