Evans & Associates Summer Variety Auction contains a true diversity of material and will include everything from vintage posters and Native American material to antique toys and sterling silver souvenir spoons. The large auction will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 9:30 am and features the collection of Dr. and Mrs. John “Jack” McAllister of Winchester, VA; part two of the Sean and Patricia Skinner collection of Sarasota, FL; deaccessioned material from a Virginia museum; an Overland Park, KS estate collection; property from the collection of C. Richmond and the late Janet J. Gough, Newburg, MD; plus others.

    Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates will conduct a two-day auction of 19th & 20th century glass and lighting on July 28 and 29 beginning at 9:30am each day. The sale will contain over 1,350 lots featuring a prominent Connecticut estate collection, the Gerard Linschoten collection of Ridgefield, WA, part five of the Ed Kleppinger collection of New Orleans, LA, deaccessioned material from a Pennsylvania museum, plus additional private collections from Oregon, New York, and Pennsylvania.

    The Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates June 16 & 17, 2017 Americana and Fine Antiques Auction was a successful event and generated strong prices in multiple categories. The two-day format consisted of 1,110 lots of high-quality material, much of which was fresh to the market, and, in many cases, had descended directly in the families of the original owners. In addition, the sale included property deaccessioned by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, VA, all proceeds to benefit the Collections Acquisition Fund. Bidding was intense throughout each day, with strong institutional interest and over three thousand registered bidders participating in house and online. Six national and regional museums were among the successful bidders.
