STAFFORDSHIRE DOCTOR SYNTAX TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF THREE, comprising "Doctor Syntax / returned / from his Tour", "Doctor Syntax / reading his Tour", and "Doctor Syntax / disputing his / Bill with the / Landlady", each pattern name printed to underside, Each having impressed crown mark encircled by "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE".

Condition: "Reading his Tour" example undamaged; "Disputing His Bill" example mostly undamaged, except having faint radial hairline to underside that does not appear to go through to front; "Returned from his Tour" example having minute rim flake, a light radial hairline to underside that does not appear to go through to front, and some light scattered scratches from use.

Circa : 1814-1834.
