STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring "MARINE HOSPITAL / LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY", printed to lower front, depicting an irregular center design with a three-story Greek Revival-style structure, a fenced field, and two figures in foreground, having bold shell border decoration. Marks to underside include impressed American eagle and shield with "E WOOD & SONS BURSLEM WARRANTED / SEMI CHINA" and "N".

Condition: Mostly undamaged, except having a minute flake to well rim, and light short scattered scratches from use.

Circa : 1818-1846.
