STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring Mount Vernon, mislabeled "The CAPITOL / WASHINGTON" to underside, depicting the plantation home of Washington with strolling figures in foreground, having bold shell border design. Additional marks to underside include a printed American eagle with shield and banner having "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and impressed "WOOD" and "Z".

Condition: Having rim hairline, primarily visible to underside due to front decoration, and some usage wear including to well rim and light short scattered scratches.

Circa : 1818-1846.
