STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF TWO, each having "City Hall / New York", as printed to underside, depicting a French Renaissance-style building with figures and horse-drawn carts on street in foreground, having botanical border, and scalloped rim, comprising one sepia/brown commemorative transfer example for the 6th Regiment of the U.S. Infantry and one green transfer example. Additional marks to underside include "JACKSONS WARRANTED" printed to ribbon below pattern name.

Condition: Infantry example undamaged; green example having two rim hairlines primarily visible to underside due to decoration. Manufacturing flaws, including sepia Infantry example with glazed over 2" L firing separation to well, as made.

Circa : 1831-1835.
