STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring "PINE ORCHARD HOUSE / CATSKILL MOUNTAINS", as printed to underside, depicting a Greek Revival-style hotel on a bluff above a forested landscape with figure on horseback in foreground, having bold shell border design. Additional marks to underside include a printed American eagle and shield with banner having "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and an impressed eagle and shield with "E WOOD & SONS BURSLEM WARRANTED / SEMI CHINA" and "Q".

Condition: Undamaged, except having some minor light scattered scratches from use. Manufacturing flaws, including minor firing separation to back, as made.

Circa : 1818-1846.
