STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring "WINTER VIEW OF PITTSFIELD MASS", as printed to ribbon on underside, featuring a mother and child with a sizable central elm tree encircled by a fence, and a charming New England town in background, having scalloped rim. Additional marks to underside include printed American eagle with shield and "CLEWS" below, impressed crown encircled by "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", and old yellow hand-brushed museum accession number.
Condition : Undamaged, except having some usage wear including to rim and scattered scratches.
Circa : 1814-1834.
