STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SOUP PLATE, featuring the Arms of "NEW YORK", depicting a spread-wing American eagle flanked by sitting Liberty and Justice, having "EXCELSIOR" at base of shield with rising sun, and vine and flower border decoration. Marks to underside include impressed American eagle with "T MAYER STOKE / WARRANTED / STAFFORDSHIRE" and printed eagle grasping ribbon with "E PLURIBUS UNUM".
Condition : Having some professional restoration to rim including paint touch-ups and some usage wear including minor scattered scratches. Manufacturing flaws, including glaze imperfection to rim underside, as made.
Circa : 1826-1838.
