AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART SPENCERIAN DRAWING, ink on paper, a fantastical depiction of a lion and a figure in a wooded setting, the latter in the act of stabbing a serpent with a spear, inscribed "Friend's And Foe" [sic] at lower edge, paper with blindstamp upper right (partially obscured by frame). Housed in a 19th century gilt frame.

Condition: Excellent overall visual condition with very minor toning and discoloration, mostly at sight edges. Frame with minor wear. Not examined out of frame.

Circa : Circa 1870.

Item Dimensions: 12 3/4" x 17 3/4" sight, 17 1/4" x 22 1/4" OA.
