AMERICAN HISTORICAL SHIP "RED, WHITE, AND BLUE" NAUTICAL ARCHIVES, related to Captain John Morley Hudson, including Currier & Ives lithograph titled "The Miniature Ship Red, White, and Blue"; silver-plated presentation horn inscribed "Capt John M Hudson / Ship Red White & Blue / 2 Tons 38 / 100 Register / Made Passage From / New York to Margate / in 38 Days"; United States of America Department of Navy honorable discharge proclamation signed by Gideon Welles, Secretary of the Navy; 249-page manuscript," The Log and Voyage of the We Ship Red-White-and Blue!! The Smallest Ship that Ever Crossed the Atlantic! The First Full Account of Her Passage And Subsequent History in Europa Also Up to Her Arrival Back in New York," written and compiled by John M. Hudson, Captain of the Red-White-and-Blue and the Originator and Promoter of the Enterprise, (circa 1867); additional manuscript and printed materials. Approximately 26 pieces total.

Condition: Very good overall as-found condition, horn with two short cracks at rim and scattered minor denting, Welles document with minor foxing and toning and with minor tears associated with creases, other imperfections.

Circa : Third quarter 19th/second quarter 20th century.
