Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates actively seeks quality consignments from single items to entire collections.  We specialize in 18th to early 20th century glass and lighting, Virginia and Southern decorative arts, and all types of Americana, antiques and fine arts.  We are especially sensitive to the special needs of museums and institutions (see a list of our Institutional References).

We offer competitive commission rates and welcome the opportunity to include your consignment in an appropriate auction or create a special, single-owner auction for your collection.  Our standard sliding commission rate schedule is based on the amount that each consigned lot brings at public auction.  Once we have made a preliminary assessment of your consignment, we will be best able to discuss the details of your potential consignment.  

Monthly cataloged auctions are held at our state-of-the-art auction gallery in Mt. Crawford, Virginia.  By registering to bid directly with our auction house, bidders have the option to submit absentee bids and/or participate “live” during the auction via in-house or telephone bidding. 

Our auctions are also available online at www.artfact.com, thereby allowing people from all over the world to participate in our auctions via the Internet.  Those who register to bid with us through Artfact Live may submit absentee bids or compete “live” in real-time from their computers.  The massive exposure to serious collectors and dealers worldwide is an extremely important factor in achieving strong prices for your consignment.  Artfact and its British sister company, Invaluable.com, currently attract nearly two million unique users per month.   

Nearly all of the consignments we accept are sold at unreserved public auction; however, the auctioneer may determine that special circumstances warrant a reserve (a minimum price that a seller is willing to accept for an item) or a Private Treaty Sale.  These options should be discussed during the consignment evaluation phase.
